In our prayers

Back in the 1990's, Trinity High School was on the verge of closing.  Due to financial troubles, a diocesean board recommended to the late Bishop Leo O'Neil to close the school.  During this time, Bishop Leo unexpectedely showed up at the school and visited some classes, including Mr. Mailloux's '72 English class.  He sat in the back, chatted with some kids, and left.  The school later found out that that evening, Bishop Leo had a meeting to make the final decision about Trinity High School and he told the board that Trinity would remain open.  He told them that he had seen the school and its heart and it is more important than money.

Thanks to Bishop Leo and the then-Secretary for Educaton for the Diocese of Manchester, Sister Pauline Lebel, CSC, our school's doors remain open.  Bishop Leo succummed to cancer in 1997 and now Sister Pauline is fighting her own battle with illness.  Mr. Mailloux recently had dinner with her and found out that she will have very serious brain surgery on May 31.  She told Mr. Mailloux that if she survives it, she knows God has more plans for her.  If not, then her work is done.

Please keep her in your prayers.
