Mission to Haiti

Zach Girard '14 is traveling on a mission trip to Haiti next month with his Church, Shiloh Community Church in Manchester.  The director of the Missions Program at Shiloh, Annette Tuttle, explained the purpose of the trip to me:

This particular mission will focus on Sports Evangelism.  Zach will be going with 3 professional soccer players, along with several other soccer enthusiasts.  We will be flying into Port-au-Prince Haiti, then traveling out to an island off the coast.  We will spend several days there conducting soccer clinics, visiting orphanages, villages, and schools, while sharing our faith in Jesus Christ.

Campus Ministry and National Honor Society were happy to help Zach and the Church out and have donated bags and bags and bags of hygiene products such as bandaids, tooth paste, etc to be given to the people to whom they are ministering.  I am very grateful to Mrs. Photiades, mother of Kiersten '12 and Kerra '14, who graciously did the shopping for us and got tons of stuff for the people of Haiti, most of whom are still recovering from the devastating earthquake.
