There is a great tradition around the feast of St. Francis of Assisi (Oct. 4) to bless animals. St. Francis is the patron saint of animals and is often associated with animals and nature. For many years we have
hosted a blessing of the animals ceremony but we have had to cancel it the past two years due to rain. I may jinx it but this year the weather looks perfect. We are holding the ceremony tomorrow night at 6pm with Father Andrew Nelson presiding. Father Andrew began this tradition at Trinity High School many years ago so it is fitting that he is now presiding.
All are welcome...humans and otherwise.
