Today we continued our Advent observations with a simple weekday Mass in our chapel at 11am. We have Mass once a week during Advent - today, next week's Mass for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, and on Dec. 18 at our Advent/Christmas Mass at St. Anthony's Church in Manchester.
Our celebrant today was Fr. Jason Jalbert, the director of vocations, liturgy, and the bishop's secretary for the Diocese of Manchester. It was a very simple Mass and in his homily, Fr. Jason spoke of the meaning of Advent and how it's really a time for us to step back and evaluate our spiritual lives.
We had a nice, intimate crowd and mixture of administrators, students, faculty, and staff and I hope to expand these weekly Masses during Lent so do stay tuned.
