NHS Inductions

Last night we celebrated the induction of the newest members of the National Honor Society.  In order to be a member, students must have a GPA of 3.6 and be committed to service.  I was honored to say the opening prayer.

The keynote speaker was Charlie Sherman, the executive director of New Horizons for New Hampshire.  We of course have a great relationship with New Horizons and Charlie touched upon that in his talk.  He also urged the students to continue their service work and to do it not because they have to, but because they want to.  It was an excellent talk.

One of my go to guys, Michael Toomey '14 ended his term as NHS president last night handing over the reigns to Pierce Gilman '15.  Michael has been such a great part of our school community and has inspired NHS to be more focused on service work.  We will miss him terribly but he will do amazing things at Penn State.
