Tomorrow our school community will celebrate its first Mass of the year. Traditionally, schools celebrate a Mass of the Holy Spirit to kick off a new academic year and that is what we will be doing. Father Jerome Day, OSB, the pastor of Saint Raphael Parish, will be our presider. We will also use the occasion to debut our new pulpit, pre-Mass music by Miss P., a holy water font (albeit a temporary one until our permanent one is ready), and a special blessing for our teachers and students.
We will also be recording Father Jerome's homily and podcasting it for those who may want to be a part of our Mass who cannot be there in person.
The Mass begins at 9:50am and all are invited to join us. We will have a light reception following the Mass for Father Jerome and parishioners from Saint Raphael's, graduates of Saint Benedict Academy, and anyone "related" to Saint Anselm College, where Father Jerome is a member of the monastic community.
