This Saturday, Michael Sartori '06 was ordained a priest by Bishop Libasci at St. Joseph Cathedral in Manchester. Michael went on to Saint Anselm College after graduating from Trinity High School, and then St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore. I believe he is the first Trinity alum to be ordained a priest since Cardinal Lacroix '75 was ordained in 1988.
I had hoped to attend the ordination but wasn't able to. I was able to attend Fr. Michael's first Mass yesterday at St. Kathryn's Church in Hudson. The Mass was beautiful with three choirs and a wonderful homily by Msgr. Anthony Fronterio, the rector of St. Joseph Cathedral. Our former campus minister Fr. Andrew Nelson and Fr. Benedict Guevin, OSB '72 were con-celebrants, Mrs. Trachim P'08, '10 of our math department and Elena Ainley '08 sung in the choirs, and Nicholas Richards '06 was in attendance.
Following the Mass there was a nice reception in the church hall. It was announced at the end of the Mass that Fr. Michael will be assigned to Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin and Holy Family Pairsh in Gorham effective next week.
Ad multos annos, Father Sartori!
