Trinity High School does a great job preparing students for college but we also know that we have another responsibility - to prepare them for heaven too.  I am proud when an alum lands a great job but even prouder when they do something like Hayden Mitchell '09.  Hayden and his family have been coming to Saint Francis Inn for many, many years.  His father Joe comes down here each year after Christmas to spend some time serving.  Thus, it was no surprise that Hayden decided to join the Franciscan Volunteer Ministry after he graduated from Holy Cross College this May.  He was assigned here to Saint Francis Inn and begins his work tonight along with four other young adults.

Hayden and the other FVM's will spend the year doing what we've been doing as well as coordinating, serving on the team, etc.  Hayden and his parents came down early and joined the community for Mass this morning.  Mr. Sheehan and I were able to take a picture with them before they headed out for the morning.
