Second Week of Advent

Despite the bone chilling weather on Monday morning, our school community gathered outside to pray and to the light the second candle on our outdoor Advent candles.  Ms. Foley sang the second verse of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" and I read the following from Sunday's gospel passage from Mark:

Behold, I am sending my messenger ahead of you; he will prepare your way.
A voice of one crying out in the desert:
“Prepare the way of the Lord,
make straight his paths.”
