One day a week during Advent, I offer a brief morning prayer service in our chapel for anyone who wishes to spend a few minutes in prayer. Today was our first of the season and we sang one verse of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel", prayed the
Benedictus monastic style, listened to a passage from the prophet Isaiah, prayed for intentions, and offered a final prayer. All told, it was less than 10 minutes but hopefully is a chance for our students and teachers to help prepare for the coming of Jesus.
Following prayer, we all went back to Campus Ministry for some donuts from Top Donut in Lowell, the greatest donut place in the Merrimack Valley! I can't imagine that was the reason so many students came to morning prayer!!
Our next two Advent morning prayer services with be the next two Thursdays at 7:30am. All are welcome.
