First Week of Advent

Last year, Michael Toomey '14 and his dad Bill graciously built a giant outdoor Advent "wreath" for our school community.  The "candles" are PVC pipes and Michael found a way to run electricity through them to connect to light bulbs.

Each Monday during Advent, our school community gathers outdoors before school to "light" to candles, to pray, and to sing a verse of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel."  Our prayer yesterday came from Sunday's gospel:

Watch, therefore;
you do not know when the Lord of the house is coming, whether in the evening, or at midnight,
or at cockcrow, or in the morning.
May he not come suddenly and find you sleeping.
What I say to you, I say to all: ‘Watch!’”
