Brotherly visit

On Wednesday, Bros. John McMahon and Edward Shields, FSC visited Trinity High School.  They visit about 2-3 times a year to check in on us and to meet with students.  Bro. John, as you may recall, taught at Bishop Bradley/Trinity High Schools from 1967-1972 and has kept in close contact with the school over the years.  He lives at the brother's residence in Narragansett, RI.  It was because of him that we are on the path to reaffiliating the Lasallian Christian Brothers.  Bro. Edward does vocation work for the brothers and lives at LaSalle Academy in New York City.

Our principal, Mr. Mailloux '72, was hosting the principals of the three other Catholic high schools in the diocese and it turned out that Bros. John and Edward know the president of Bishop Guertin High School, Bro. Mark Hilton, SC, who was also at the meeting.  We had lunch and a nice visit with the group after their meeting.

During the day, Bros. John and Edward chatted with the students who took part in last summer's Lasallian Youth Assembly to learn about their experiences.  Bro. Edward also chatted with a senior theology class about religious life.

It's always refreshing to have the brothers visit and to spend time with them.  We are hoping to get together with them next month at a retreat for the administrators.

Stay tuned!
