Third Week of Advent

This week we mark the third week of Advent.  Because of all the snow we got this weekend and the cold weather today, I decided not to have everyone go outside today for the lighting of the third candle on our Advent wreath.  The candle for the third week of Advent is pink to symbolize that Christmas is almost here and thus we should rejoice.  The third Sunday of Advent is called Gaudete Sunday, "Gaudete" meaning "Rejoice."

As we draw near to You, Lord God, keep us aware of Your presence in all we do.  Come with power to enlighten us by your grace, that we may live in praise and peace all our days.  Amen.
