Back in 2011, you may recall, the Church changed the texts we use at Mass. As such, we no longer needed our old Sacramentary, the book the priest uses at Mass, so I intended to bury it as it the custom for blessed items that are no longer used.
Well, I was cleaning up in our chapel today and I came across the Sacramentary...I guess I never buried it! So in a solo ceremony I went outside to a quiet spot on our campus and buried the book. I am not sure how many Masses it was used for over the years but we are grateful to God for all it did for us.
