As you know, our school sponsored a food drive this month to benefit the New Hampshire Food Bank. The last day was this past Friday and I am happy to announce that our school community donated over 5,700 pounds of food! I announced the totals at the end of Friday's pep rally and the students went berserk (probably mostly over the fact that they get a week of dress down days as reward). One homeroom brought in 617 pounds of food alone.
The Food Bank is coming by tomorrow to pick up the food as we could never get it all over there. The students will bring the food outside to the truck from their homerooms and load it up, it should be a wonderful moment.
Thanks again to everyone who was able to help. Of course, I am not surprised!
