Thanksgiving Generosity

It was a freezing morning to be standing outside but I would never miss the chance to greet and thank the hundreds of students and families who donated Thanksgiving baskets.  Our community always donates hundreds and hundreds of baskets to benefit the food pantries of Blessed Sacrament Parish and the Parish of the Transfiguration.  Baskets are still coming in but we collected over 450 baskets so far.  After school, tons of families will help deliver them to the pantries, always a rewarding event.

It was too cold to go outside for a blessing of all the baskets so Father Paul O'Brien blessed a sample size after Mass today.

I am grateful to Mrs. Photiades P'14, Mrs. Capobiano P'15, and Mrs. Bergeron P'14 for coming in bright and early today to help put together a number of baskets from donations from the students at Saint Joseph Regional Junior High School.

Once again, the Pioneers don't disappoint.
