Go Catholic High School...

Our new bishop, Bishop Peter Libasci was saying the 5pm Mass tonight at Saint Lawrence Parish in Goffstown so he decided to stop by Saint Anselm College where the Trinity hockey team was taking on the Saints of Saint Thomas Aquinas High School.

We met Bishop Libasci about 45 minutes before the game so he could greet the players from both teams.  He first met the Pioneers in the hallway outside their locker room where they presented him with some hockey t-shirts, hats, and jackets.  Bishop Libasci then personally greeted every player and coach and took a group photo.  He then went over to the Saint Thomas side where he did the same thing.

He watched the game right behind the Trinity bench (the student section) and stayed for almost all of the game - he had to leave about halfway through the 3rd period so he could go to Saint Lawrence for Mass.

It was so wonderful to see the looks on people's faces when he walked in or was walking around.  I heard him say to Mr. Mailloux that he wants everyone to know that they matter and will be doing lots and lots of visits to schools, parishes, etc.  He is actually heading out to the northern most point in the diocese, the Colebrook area, where he will visit a number of rural parishes on the days before Christmas.

Folks, we're in for a heck of a ride with Bishop Libasci.  Get ready!
